Scouting for Food

Cub and Boy Scoutss from Cross Plains, Black Earth
and Mazomanie collected over one ton of food,
personal care and baby products during the recent Scouting For Food event on
April 25.
All items were donated to Mazomanie’s Christians in Action Food Pantry.
Troop 58 put in three sessions of cleanup - after each day of Wild West Days. The pictures here (Sunday) are only a portion (maybe 20%) of the area they cleaned up. What was actually covered was pretty much the entire park area including the bleachers shown here, bleachers on the opposite side of this area, the beer tent, the horseshoe area, and the skate park.
On Sunday alone, approximately 20 bags of (uncrushed) cans were collected.
